- • Blur effects — Recent message previews, contact names, profile photos, and media in sidebar and chat. Turn each on or off.
- • Lock on idle — Option to auto-lock after inactivity.
- • All privacy options saved locally; no chat or contact list sent to any server.
Customization
- • Themes — Custom colors for sidebar, header, and chat area. Presets or fine-tune.
- • Theme persistence — Your choice stored locally and reapplied when you open WhatsApp Web again.
Productivity & convenience
- • Quick chat — Shortcut to start a new chat from the header.
- • Contact info — Quick access to contact/profile info from the chat header.
- • Pinned contacts — Pin frequently used chats.
